Whether you’re a Customer in need of help or a Doer with the skills to assist, we make it easy to find the right fit for your project.

For Customers: You’ll never have to search through endless ads or hope for the best. HndShake.net provides a seamless way to find trusted professionals and handymen to help with tasks around your home. Best part? It’s completely free for you to use!

For Doers: Whether you’re a handyman, contractor, landscaper, painter, or plumber, we offer an easy platform to connect with new opportunities and grow your business. There is a small service fee of $3.50, but the rewards of finding quality work make it worth it.

What Can Be Done?

Here’s a quick list of just a few examples of the types of tasks that you can find on Hndshake.net:

• Mowing the lawn or landscaping
• Raking leaves

• Replacing light bulbs
• Cleaning up water in the basement
• Small or large home improvement projects

Whether it’s a minor fix or a larger renovation, HndShake.net is the place to connect with the right person for the job.

How It Works

For Customers:

1. Create a Post – Simply describe the project you need done. Example: “I need my lawn mowed (1/4 acre) in Branford.”
2. Browse Proposals – Skilled Doers will comment on your post with their offers. You’ll see details like price and availability.
3. Select the Right Offer – When you find an offer that suits your needs, “like” the comment. This will notify the Doer that you’re interested.
4. Agreement and Payment – Once you and the Doer both “like” the offer, the Doer will be prompted to pay a small service fee of $3.50, and payment is processed securely via Stripe. This ensures access to the platform and enables the private chat feature. Please treat this agreement like a handshake—once you’ve agreed on the terms, respect the deal and follow through. Both parties should honor the agreed-upon price, timeline, and project details without further interference from HndShake.net.
5. Chat and Confirm – After payment is processed, the chat feature will be activated, allowing you and the Doer to communicate directly about the project details, timeline, and any other specifics. Please note that HndShake.net’s involvement ends here. We facilitate the connection and provide the chat, but we do not interfere with the project itself, payment arrangements, or the work details. The chat will remain active for 6 months, after which it will be deleted. It is entirely up to you and the Doer to coordinate and finalize the project.

For Doers:

1. Register and Search Posts – Sign up, then browse available posts by category or location.
2. Make an Offer – When you find a job that matches your skills, make a proposal. Include your price and any other relevant details.
3. Chat and Confirm – Once the customer selects your offer, you’ll pay a small service fee of $3.50 to access the platform and unlock the chat feature. This allows you to communicate directly with the customer to finalize project details. HndShake.net solely facilitates this connection and provides the chat tool, but we do not interfere with the project or payment arrangements..
4. Complete the Job – Once the details are finalized, it’s time to get to work! Please treat the agreement like a handshake—honor the terms you've agreed upon with the customer, including the price, timeline, and scope of work. HndShake.net is here to connect you, but the responsibility to follow through on the project is entirely yours and the customer’s. Respect the agreement, and the job will go smoothly for everyone.
